Activity 4-8-12

It's another Saturday and here goes our first activity for the August month, which is an important month for our country MALAYSIA! The month when Malaysia got to be an independent county!

Today, the members were taught about C.P.R. which was a confusing topic for everyone.

As from the photo above, u can clearly see that the word RCAB? What was that? CRAB? Ha! For sure, we do not have any crab in the school neither offer the members to eat crab meat. Or maybe, we will be able to one day? :P
It's actually the steps in doing C.P.R The front word was block by that boy (naughty boy Hao Hong?)
So here it goes:

D - Danger

  • First aider yourself - You must first make sure yr own safety. How do you rescue people even when you can't protect yourself?
  • By standers (旁观者)-  Make sure that the people around are not exposed to any danger.
  • Casualty - If casualty is exposed to any harm, move him/her to a safety place. Keep a distance between casualty and the people around.

R - Respond

  •  You must check the breathing, movement and cough of the casualty before giving them compression!
  • AVPU: Alert _ Voice _ Pain _ Unconscious
  • You call 999 and ask them to bring along AED then come back report to me.

C - Compression

A - Airway

  • Head tilt chin lift

B - Breathing

*Please refer to our St John board located at the left of the middle staircase for a complete information!

One more important thing is today our treasurer had returned the money to the members who had not received their items. Hope that the members are satisfied with this.

Next, we also wished our new M.I.C - Kelly Loh happy birthday!! Hooray!
