CHOKING

REMEMBER : 

1) "Sir are choking? Can u speak , cough and breath? " *Sir I suspect choking*
2) Don't worry sir I will apply "Heimlich Manuever"
3) If casualty unconscious perform CPR

Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) 

TAKE NOTE : 
1) Remember to call an ambulance since today many people forgot about it
2) Always speak out your compression times
3) Always be near with the Little Anne *she wont bite u*
4)Train your rescue blow by using balloon 
5) Always follow the step "DRCAB" *no point to be panic*

STEPS : 
1) Check DANGER (look left and right) , "No Danger SIR" !
2) Tap casualty 's shoulder and ask for RESPOND "Hello hellow sir/madam, are u 
ok? Can i help you?"
3)*If no reaspond* "Help Please Call 999 and bring along AED"
4) Perform your 30 compression 
5) Open Airway "Head Tilt Chin Lift" and 2 rescue blow 30 compression
* Recovery position if casualty stable
* compression rate is 100 times per minutes
* 5 set , 1 set 6 cycle , 1 cycle 30 :2
* "Face shield" always be with you during the exam time
* After 5 cycle check breathing

RECOVERY POSITION

TAKE NOTE : 

1) Remove spectacle if casualty is wearing

2) Remeber to OPEN AIRWAY after casualty is in recovery position
3) Your hand must always hold with the casualty 's hand during your recovery position part

Re-BFA 28-04-13

Today the passed members had their re-BFA exam in the morning till afternoon.
There are 27 members who attended this examination. However, there are a few members who are absent. Hope that we can get full attendance for the coming BFA exam for the new members.

2-3-13 Activity Enrollment

It is a big day for the newly passed St John members. All qualified members are required to attend this enrollment. All new members are enrolled into Cadets during an enrollment ceremony. They swear to follow The Cadet Code of Chivalry, which is based around the motto of the Order of St John and covers what it means to be a St John Cadet.

Sir Jared Foo welcomed the new members and explain some details about St John 3CC.

After reading Cadet Code of Chivalry, Sir greeted them one by one.

Later on, the St John anthem was sang.

 

After the short enrollment, we continued our activity as usual.
We started our lessons on Lesson 1 and Lesson 2.
From this year onwards, our lessons are conducted by slides so that members will not be too boring of listening only.

 

It was our second activity for 2013.
Still the same thing, hope that St John will get stronger year by year leaded by caliber AJKs.
Qualified members please be active in public duties to earn duty hour to achieve the 30 duty hours achievement. =) Best hope for all.

Happy Chinese New Year !

It is the new year for the Chinese which we called it Chinese New Year, also referred to as the Lunar New Year. All Chinese celebrate it every year either on the end of January or beginning of February. Mostly everyone will return to their hometown to celebrate it with their parents and relatives. As for us, we will follow our parents home and meet with our cousins.

Activity 19-1-13

After 1 1/2 month of school holiday, school started on 2-1-13. All students are back to school to continue their schooling life to learn more things on the route of being an excellent teenagers.

St. John first activity of the year was started on 19th of January. 

At 8.30am all the members of gathers at PKP for a short briefing from the school PK Koku, Cik Tan.

After that, the Senior Group which consist of all the passed members went into the class to learn to sing St John song and Cadet Code of Chivalry for the coming enrollment in our school. 

To have a more efficient way of singing, they were divided into groups and compete to sing. The loser groups will have to be punished. 

Later on, Sir gave a talk about St John including to build a stronger division, increasing passing rates of members and proficiency badge. Besides that, they were also given introduction and things-to-do for public duty and room duty. In this year, Sir mentioned that everyone must have at least 5 hours of duty time. He also hoped that he could give out 100 hours duty time achievement - Special Service Shell (SSS) to our member.

The Junior Group was trained kawad by our foot-drill coordinator, Wong Guo Jin.

Then they played games.

While for the Recruit Group, they were given a brief talk by our M.I.C. and also Sir. 

All of them enjoyed the game prepared for them =)

Hope that the new members will have a good attendance and work hard for our school St. John division to achieve a higher standard year by year. The future of No3CC is in their hands.

At 12.15pm, we had a short birthday celebration for one of our Senior member. The scene was amusing when all the members sang birthday song for him. It surely left a good birthday memory for him.  

After fall-in, all members were allowed to go at 12.30pm.

*Important Notes:
1. All passed members are encouraged to join public duties that were posted in the St. John Facebook group by Kelly.

2. All members must have half-u in this year. ( half-u can be wear with track bottom )
3. Remember to cut fingernails every time attending St John activity.
